What is TP1/C12000 copper?
TP1 Copper Rods and Plates are high-performance phosphorus-deoxidized copper materials renowned for their excellent electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance, and good workability. They are widely used in the industrial manufacturing sector. Through phosphorus deoxidation, this material significantly reduces oxygen content, preventing the "hydrogen embrittlement" phenomenon commonly found in conventional pure copper, while retaining the essential properties of copper. It is an ideal choice for precision components and conductive or heat-dissipating elements.

Chemical Composition
The chemical composition of TP1 copper strictly complies with international standards, with the main components as follows:
Copper (Cu): ≥99.9%, ensuring high-purity base performance;
Phosphorus (P): 0.004%–0.012%, serving as a deoxidizer to enhance resistance to hydrogen embrittlement;
Other impurities: such as lead, iron, sulfur, etc., with the total content controlled below 0.1% to ensure material stability.
Physical and Mechanical Properties
Electrical and Thermal Conductivity: Electrical conductivity ≥98% IACS, thermal conductivity up to 380 W/(m·K), making it suitable for efficient energy transfer applications.
Mechanical Properties: Tensile strength ≥200 MPa, elongation ≥35%, combining strength and plasticity for easy processing such as stamping and bending.
Corrosion Resistance: Exhibits good resistance to atmospheric, freshwater, and non-oxidizing acid environments, with minimal oxidation or discoloration over long-term use.
Weldability: Can be welded using brazing, argon arc welding, and other methods, with high joint strength and no tendency for cracking after welding.
Typical Application Scenarios
Electronics and Electrical Industry: Used in key conductive components such as relay contacts, conductive terminals, and transformer windings.
Heat Exchange Systems: Serves as core material for heat sinks, condenser tubes, and other components to efficiently transfer thermal energy.
Mechanical Manufacturing: Processed into wear-resistant and pressure-resistant parts such as bearing bushings and valve seals.
Architectural Decoration: After surface polishing, it can be used as weather-resistant decorative panels, combining aesthetics with functionality.
Processing and Storage Recommendations
TP1 copper can be processed using conventional methods such as turning, milling, and stamping. It is recommended to use sharp tools to avoid material adhesion. During storage, keep the environment dry and avoid contact with corrosive substances such as acids and alkalis. For long-term storage, applying anti-rust oil to the surface is advised for protection.

Our factory
We provide a full range of copper products-rods, tubes, plates, bars, wires, and strips-tailored to international specifications including ASTM, BS, and JIS. Our manufacturing capabilities feature horizontal continuous casting for large-diameter bars, rotary piercing mills for high-precision tubes, and multi-roll finishing mills for ultra-thin strips. To ensure superior quality, we implement comprehensive testing protocols: chemical analysis via XRF, mechanical property verification on universal testing machines, and non-destructive testing (ultrasonic and eddy current) for internal and surface integrity. With integrated production, rigorous inspection, and flexible customization, we deliver high-performance copper materials for electrical, HVAC, machinery, and construction industries worldwide.

Copper product packaging
Our copper product packaging always prioritizes safety protection and professional identification. Copper rods and profiles are securely bundled with steel straps and fixed on reinforced wooden pallets, with waterproof and moisture-proof film wrapped around the exterior. Copper tubes are equipped with protective caps on both ends and packaged in custom-designed cartons or wooden crates with internal cushioning materials. Copper plates and strips are interleaved with anti-rust paper and fully encapsulated in steel-edged crates. All packages are affixed with clear product labels, specifications, and moisture-proof tags. For high-purity copper materials or those with special application requirements (such as oxygen-free copper wires and high-end copper strips), we also offer professional nitrogen-filled sealed packaging to ensure complete oxygen isolation during transportation and storage, preventing oxidation and maintaining the optimal performance and surface condition of the materials.
