Brass Rod Product Introduction

Brass bar, an alloy bar composed of two elements, copper and zinc, of which the copper content is generally above 60%. According to different copper and zinc ratio, brass rod can be further classified into various types such as common brass, aluminum brass, silicon brass and so on. This alloy material is widely used in many fields such as mechanical, construction, electrical, chemical and so on due to its unique physical and chemical properties.
Brass rods have good processing performance and can be molded by casting, forging, extruding and many other processes. At the same time, it has excellent electrical conductivity and is an important material in the electrical industry. In addition, brass rods have excellent corrosion resistance and can maintain stable performance in various environments.
The history of brass rod can be traced back to ancient times, but it was not until the development of modern industry that it began to be widely used. In China, the use of brass can be traced back to the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, when brass began to be used for minting money. Today, brass rods have become an indispensable material in industrial production.

The manufacturing process of brass rods goes through several stages. First, the raw materials, copper and zinc, are melted to form a liquid brass. During this process, impurities in the furnace are separated to ensure the quality of the brass rod. Next, the brass liquid needs to go through a decontamination stage to remove the impurities in it, such as iron and phosphorus. De-hybridization is generally realized by adding appropriate flux, and vacuum de-hybridization, filtration and other methods can also be used. Upon completion of the decontamination, the brass liquid is poured into a mold to form a brass rod of the desired shape. During this process, parameters such as temperature and pouring speed need to be controlled to ensure that the dimensions and properties of the product meet the requirements.
After the brass rod is molded, surface grinding is also required to remove surface defects and improve the surface quality of the product. Appropriate abrasives and process parameters should be used in the grinding process to ensure that the surface roughness meets the requirements, while avoiding excessive grinding resulting in material loss. Finally, brass rods need to undergo strict quality testing, including size, shape, surface quality and other aspects. Only brass rods that meet the quality requirements can enter the packaging process and finally be delivered to customers.
Brass rods have a wide range of applications. In the field of construction, brass rods are used to make doors, windows, pipes and other components, and its excellent corrosion resistance makes it able to maintain stable performance in various climatic conditions. In the mechanical field, brass rods are used to make all kinds of precision instruments, ship's parts, gun shells, etc. Its good processing performance and wear-resistant performance make it able to meet the complex working environment. In the electrical field, brass rods are widely used in the manufacture of wires, cables, electrical appliances and other products because of their excellent conductivity. In addition, brass rods are also used in the manufacture of chemical equipment, musical instruments, decorations and many other fields.
