Air conditioner link tube
Air conditioners are very common in people's lives and are used very frequently, especially in the hot summer. As for the choice of air conditioning materials, many people don't know much about it. For the choice of indoor and outdoor linking materials for air conditioners, it is recommended that you use copper pipes as the best choice. So, why do air conditioners use copper pipes?
The connection between the indoor unit and the outdoor unit of an air conditioner requires connection materials. Copper and aluminum tubes are widely used to connect the indoor and outdoor units of air conditioners. The most commonly used connection material for air conditioners is copper tubing for air conditioners. Why? Because the refrigerant eventually absorbs heat in the evaporator and then releases it in the condenser, the outside of the air conditioner's copper pipe will be connected to the heat sink, and the refrigerant (Freon, commonly known as snow) will pass through the connecting pipe. Therefore, the quality of the copper tube used for this refrigerant directly affects the cooling effect of the air conditioner.
Copper tubes are high pressure resistance, not easy to corrode, and have a longer service life than aluminum tubes. Refrigeration copper tube thermal conductivity is far better than aluminum tubes, welding performance and mechanical strength is far better than aluminum tubes. Of course, the price of air conditioning copper pipe will be more expensive than aluminum pipe. Many consumers in order to save money or in order to cheap, the refrigerator and air conditioning copper tube thinning or directly replaced by aluminum tube, the price is also lower. But of course the performance is much worse than copper tubes, and the cooling effect is not better than copper tubes.

Aluminum tube's low density, soft texture and other characteristics of the mechanical properties, bending performance than copper. In addition, aluminum and copper have different densities and different cross-sections. If aluminum and copper pipes are connected, the joints may not be welded securely, which may easily lead to refrigerant leakage or even explosion. Copper connection is easy to cause corrosion of aluminum tube, resulting in poor cooling and heating effect, or even lead to abnormal operation of the air conditioner. Due to the different materials, the service life of aluminum tubes is almost half of that of copper tubes, and the cooling effect is relatively worse. Because the bending performance is worse than the copper tube, so it is difficult for consumers to change the machine to re-bend the aluminum tube, basically need to replace the new tube.
Copper tube is an important and indispensable part of the refrigeration equipment, mainly used in air conditioners, refrigerators and other household appliances in the refrigeration system. Copper tube has excellent thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance, can quickly transfer refrigerant to ensure the efficient operation of the refrigeration system.
Physical properties of copper tube
1. Excellent thermal conductivity
Copper is an excellent thermal conductivity material, its thermal conductivity is nearly 30 times higher than iron, nearly 10 times higher than stainless steel. The thermal conductivity of copper can ensure the rapid transfer of refrigerant in the refrigeration system, improve refrigeration efficiency.
2. Good corrosion resistance
Copper has good corrosion resistance, can resist the erosion of most chemicals. In the refrigeration system, copper tube can effectively resist the corrosion and oxidation of refrigerant, extend the service life of the refrigeration system.
3. Easy to process
Copper material has good plasticity and processability, easy to process into various shapes and sizes of copper pipe. In refrigeration equipment, copper tube can meet the needs of different refrigeration systems, to ensure the normal operation of the refrigeration system.
Manufacturing process of copper tube
The manufacturing process of copper tubes is generally categorized into two types, namely cold drawing and hot extrusion.
Cold drawing refers to the manufacturing process of drawing a copper billet into a copper tube through a mold. Cold drawing process can ensure the dimensional accuracy and surface quality of copper pipe, is the main process of manufacturing high-quality copper pipe.
Hot extrusion refers to the heated copper billet through the extruder extrusion into copper pipe manufacturing process. Hot extrusion process can make the wall thickness of copper pipe uniform, high surface smoothness, is the main process of manufacturing large diameter copper pipe.
Copper in the order of chemical activity is very low, more than hydrogen also back, only higher than silver, platinum, gold, performance is very stable, very unlikely to be corroded. Therefore, copper pipes, fittings and containers can be used to transport hot and cold water, seawater, oil, acid, alcohol and non-oxidizing organic fluids and gas, etc., a wide range of uses.
