400kg of GB6109 Enameled Copper Wire to Switzerland

What the Customer Needed

Our customer, based near Zurich, buys copper wire for demanding electrical applications. This order covered four diameters - 0.071 mm, 0.10 mm, 0.21 mm and 0.26 mm - in two thermal classes (155 °C and 180 °C) and two insulation grades (QA-1 and QA-2).

The tricky part wasn't the wire itself. Like most European buyers, they needed full documentation with every delivery: a manufacturing and control plan (PFC), chemical analysis, technical data sheets, a REACH SVHC declaration and a RoHS II declaration. We had to get the product and the paperwork right at the same time.

What We Supplied

We produced all four specifications in a single run, each packed in 100 kg units:

No. Specification Diameter Thermal Class Insulation Grade Quantity
1 FILO RAME 0.071 F 0.071 mm 155 °C QA-2 100 kg
2 FILO RAME 0.10 F 0.10 mm 155 °C QA-1 100 kg
3 FILO RAME 0.21 H 0.21 mm 180 °C QA-1 100 kg
4 FILO RAME 0.26 H 0.26 mm 180 °C QA-1 100 kg

Everything was made to the GB6109 standard, within a ±3% size tolerance. We promised production would start within 8 days of the prepayment, and that's what happened.

Production and Quality Control

Every batch was weighed and checked before packing. Each unit came in at 125.0 kg on the scale, quality was confirmed by mill inspection, and the customer received the original MTC with the goods.

The consignment flew from Beijing to Zurich - 125 kg, 0.29 CBM, HS code 854411 - under FCA Shanghai terms, and arrived in Switzerland on schedule.

Documentation for European Customers

For European buyers, the documents matter as much as the wire. This order shipped with:

Original MTC (Mill Test Certificate)

Manufacturing and control plan (PFC)

Chemical analysis and mechanical characteristics

Technical data sheets and confirmed drawings

REACH SVHC declaration (Regulation 1907/2006/EC)

RoHS II declaration (Directive 2011/65/EU)

These are standard for our exports to Europe.

Production finished within the agreed lead time, and the full 400 kg order reached Switzerland with all the documents. The customer received exactly what they ordered - the right diameters, thermal classes and grades, packed for safe international shipping.

FAQ

What is GB6109 enameled copper wire?

GB6109 is the Chinese national standard for enamelled round copper wire (winding wire, also called magnet wire). It defines the requirements for the copper conductor, the insulation film and the finished wire, including diameters, thermal classes and insulation grades. Our wire is produced to this standard, with a size tolerance of ±3%.

What do QA-1 and QA-2 mean?

QA-1 and QA-2 describe the thickness of the insulation film on the wire. QA-2 has a thicker enamel coating than QA-1. Thicker insulation provides higher dielectric strength and is usually chosen for more demanding operating conditions - your application engineer will pick the right grade for the job.

What is the difference between the 155 °C and 180 °C thermal classes?

The thermal class tells you the maximum continuous operating temperature of the wire. Class 155 (F) means the wire can run continuously at up to 155 °C, and class 180 (H) at up to 180 °C. Higher thermal classes are used where motors, transformers or coils run hotter.

Which documents do you provide for European customers?

Every export to Europe ships with the original MTC (Mill Test Certificate), a manufacturing and control plan (PFC), chemical analysis, technical data sheets, a REACH SVHC declaration and a RoHS II declaration - the documents European buyers usually need for compliance and traceability.

What is the production lead time?

For this order, production started within 8 days of receipt of the prepayment. Lead time depends on specification, quantity and the current production schedule - tell us your requirements and we'll confirm a date right away.

Do you ship to Switzerland and other European countries?

Yes. This order was delivered to Switzerland by air, and we regularly arrange both air and sea freight to destinations across Europe. We'll recommend the most practical and economical shipping option for your delivery address.

Which copper products do you supply besides enameled wire?

Besides copper wire, we supply copper heat exchanger tubes, plates and sheets, bars and rods, pipes, strips, pipe fittings and machined parts - see the product range table above. If you need something in copper, ask us.

Tell us your specification (diameter, thermal class, insulation grade, quantity, destination), and we'll come back with a quotation and lead time.
