H59 brass is a common brass material with the following characteristics:
1. Composition
The copper content is between 57.0% and 60.0%, the zinc content is the remainder, and it also contains a small amount of other elements. Its carbon content is less than 0.1%, and the content of other trace elements is less than 0.5%.
2. Performance characteristics
(I) Mechanical properties
Strength and hardness: H59 brass has high strength and hardness, can still withstand pressure processing well in hot state, and has good plasticity. For example, it can meet the requirements when manufacturing some parts that need to withstand a certain pressure.
Corrosion resistance: The corrosion resistance is general, but it can be used normally in an environment where the corrosion resistance requirements are not particularly high.

Medium temperature brittleness: Ordinary brass is prone to medium temperature brittleness (generally between 200-700℃) during hot processing such as forging, but adding a trace amount of cerium can effectively eliminate medium temperature brittleness. For α brass, as the zinc content increases, the tensile strength (σb) and elongation (δ) continue to increase; for (α + β) brass, when the zinc content increases to about 45%, the room temperature strength continues to increase. If the zinc content is further increased, the strength decreases sharply due to the appearance of a more brittle r phase (solid solution based on Cu5Zn8 compounds) in the alloy structure, and its room temperature plasticity always decreases with the increase of zinc content.
(II) Other properties
Electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity: In addition to good mechanical properties, H59 brass also has good electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity. Therefore, it is often used as electrical connections and conductive parts, such as wire connectors and sockets, and is also used to manufacture heat transfer equipment such as radiators and heat exchangers.
III. Product types and specifications
Types: There are different product forms such as H59 brass wire, H59 brass bar, H59 brass rod (such as H59-1 brass rod). Among them, H59-1 brass rod is free-cutting brass, which is divided into environmentally friendly brass rod and ordinary brass rod. It is one of the most widely used brass rods in industry. There is also Japanese standard C3604 brass rod similar to it.
Specification example (taking H59-1 brass rod as an example): Its spot specifications are Ф2MM, Ф3MM, Ф4MM, Ф5MM, Ф6MM, Ф8MM, Ф10MM, Ф12MM, Ф14MM, Ф15MM, Ф16MM, Ф18MM, Ф20MM, Ф22MM, Ф25MM, Ф30MM, Ф35MM, Ф40MM, Ф45MM, Ф50MM, Ф5 5MM, Ф60MM, Ф65MM, Ф70MM, Ф75MM, Ф80MM, Ф85MM, Ф90MM, Ф95MM, Ф100MM, Ф110MM, Ф120MM, Ф140MM, Ф150MM, Ф160MM, Ф180MM, Ф200MM, Ф220MM, Ф240MM, Ф260MM, etc.
IV. Scope of application
In mechanical manufacturing: it can be used to make various deep-drawn and bent force-bearing parts, such as pins, rivets, washers, conduits, barometers, screens, radiator parts, etc. In the automotive manufacturing industry, it is often used to manufacture engine parts, hydraulic systems and radiators, etc.; in the construction field, it is often used to manufacture door and window accessories, plumbing pipes and decorative hardware, etc., and can also be used to manufacture ship parts, electrical connectors and instruments, etc.
In terms of decoration making: suitable for electrical appliances, electronics, lighting, hardware, mountings, switches, washers, gaskets, battery contacts, copper buttons, watch straps, decorative necklaces, bracelets, rings and other copper products.
We can provide high quality products, good service and competitive price. We have been committed to producing high quality copper products such as copper tubes, copper wires, copper plates, copper strips, copper rods and other copper products.
