Physical and Mechanical Properties of C72200 Cupronickel
1. Corrosion Resistance: Thanks to the addition of nickel, C72200 Cupronickel exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in seawater, acidic, and alkaline environments. It is particularly resistant to pitting and stress corrosion cracking in marine engineering applications.
2. Strength and Ductility: This material combines high strength with good plasticity, achieving a tensile strength of 400-600 MPa and an elongation exceeding 30%, making it suitable for both hot and cold forming.
3. Thermal and Electrical Conductivity: While slightly lower in electrical conductivity than pure copper, it still maintains high thermal conductivity, making it suitable for applications requiring a balance between heat dissipation and electrical conductivity.
4. Welding and Processing Performance: It is easily brazed and arc welded, and has excellent machinability, allowing it to be processed into complex precision components.
