If you put a C11000 copper tube in a seawater heat exchanger, it will fail rapidly. The combination of salt, high velocity, and bio-fouling eats pure copper alive through a process called "Erosion-Corrosion."
Enter C70600 (Copper Nickel 90/10). This is the maritime industry standard for a reason.
Why Copper Nickel?
C70600 contains 10% Nickel and roughly 1.4% Iron.
The Iron Factor: The small addition of iron is critical. It helps form a tenacious, self-healing protective film on the tube surface that resists turbulent water.
Bio-Fouling: Like pure copper, C70600 resists the growth of barnacles and algae, keeping pipes clean without chemicals.

Application Scenarios
Shipbuilding: Seawater cooling loops, fire-fighting systems.
Desalination Plants: Brine heaters.
Power Plants: Coastal condenser tubes.
Don't use C11000 here. Even if C11000 is cheaper upfront, the maintenance cost of replacing corroded tubes will bankrupt the project.
