What Are The Grades Of Brass Tubing

Brass pipe is graded according to the different proportion of copper and zinc content, mainly C21000, C22000, C23000, C26000 and so on.
First, brass tube grade classification and performance characteristics
Brass tube is a well-balanced alloy material, with good electrical conductivity, corrosion resistance and heat resistance, widely used in aerospace, machinery manufacturing, building decoration and chemical industry and other fields. According to the different ratios of copper and zinc in the brass tube, the brass tube can be divided into several grades, mainly as follows:

1.C21000: the pure copper content is higher than 95.0%, which is suitable for the special requirements in some high-tech fields, such as electronics, aviation, aerospace and so on.

2.C22000: It is the most widely used brass tube in industry, with copper content between 90 and 94% and zinc content of about 5%, with good impact and toughness, widely used in machinery manufacturing, building decoration and other fields.

3.C23000: containing zinc between 10 to 16%, with good wear resistance and corrosion resistance, usually used in the manufacture of some wear-resistant parts, such as transmission bearings, door and window hardware.

4.C26000: zinc content between 30-35%, high strength, good ductility, excellent wear and corrosion resistance, widely used in machinery manufacturing, construction and decoration, chemical industry and other fields.

The main grades and application scope of brass tube in the international market.
In the international market, the grade of brass pipe varies according to different national standards and uses, and the commonly used grades are H62, H65, H68 and so on. Among them, the copper content of H62 is between 60 and 63%, which has good corrosion resistance and is often used in home decoration and manufacturing of household appliance parts; the copper content of H65 is between 63 and 68%, which has good strength and abrasion resistance and is usually used in chemical industry, mining and other fields; the copper content of H68 is between 67 and 71%, which has higher strength, and is often used in the manufacturing of cladding layer on the surface of steel products.

In general, the grades and application areas of brass tubes are categorized according to the ratio of their copper and zinc content. According to the characteristics and performance features of different grades, choosing the right brass pipe material can meet the needs of different areas of use.
