The molar solution of 2~5X10-6 concentration of these vapors can kill typhoid bacteria after 24 hours at 37°C, indicating that trace amounts of copper metal ions have extremely strong bactericidal power.

The main reasons are as follows: copper has good ductility and its cold working performance is significantly better than stainless steel. The coil is mainly made by cold bending process. Stainless steel coils have a tendency to crack during the bending process. On the other hand, there is bending stress inside the tube after bending. At a working temperature of 40°C to 60°C, stress corrosion is very likely to occur due to the effect of chloride ions in water, causing irreparable cracks. The welding parts of stainless steel coils are more seriously corroded due to the superposition of welding thermal stress and cold bending stress, but copper tubes do not have these problems.
