What is the difference between C260 and C360 brass?
While C260 excels in forming operations, its machinability leaves something to be desired. This is where C360, or Free-Cutting Brass, steps in. Containing approximately 60-63% copper, 34-37% zinc, and a crucial 2.5-3.7% lead, C360 is specifically engineered for high-speed machining.
What is admiralty brass?
Admiralty Brass is a high-performance brass alloy alloyed with tin (0.9–1.2%) and trace elements such as arsenic and iron. Its precise chemistry prevents zinc leaching in seawater and harsh chemicals, making it ideal for tubes, fittings, and components in heat exchangers, condensers, pumps, and valves.

Is naval brass expensive?
Due to its composition and properties, naval brass may be slightly more expensive compared to other types of brass.
What kind of brass does not tarnish?
Non tarnish brass (NTB)
This type of brass has a warm brass look that will not tarnish over time. This unique basis of 'NTB' makes this a favourite for tap ware, door hardware and finishes as well as indoor and outdoor applications.
What is naval brass used for?
Naval brass is used in propeller shafts, marine hardware, decorative fittings, shafting, propeller shafts and turn buckles. There are also many industrial applications, such as welding rods, condenser plates, structural uses, valve stems, balls, heat exchanger tubes, aircraft turnbuckle barrels, dies, and many more.
