Features and Applications
TP2 phosphorus-deoxidized copper exhibits excellent welding and cold bending properties and is generally not susceptible to hydrogen damage. It can be processed and used in reducing environments, but should not be processed or used in oxidizing atmospheres. TP1 contains less residual phosphorus than TP2, resulting in TP2's superior electrical and thermal conductivity. TP1 and TP2 are primarily used for pipes, but can also be supplied in sheet, strip, rod, and wire. They are suitable for gasoline and gas pipelines, drainpipes, condenser pipes, mine pipes, condensers, evaporators, heat exchangers, and fireboxes.
