1. Composition

4. Processing performance
Ordinary brass can be formed through a variety of processes such as forging, die casting, casting and welding. The processing properties of brass depend on its composition and heat treatment status. The higher the zinc content, the worse the forgeability of brass, but the better the welding performance. Heat treatment can significantly improve the mechanical properties and processing properties of brass.
5. Corrosion resistance
Ordinary brass has good corrosion resistance and can resist the erosion of most chemicals and oxidants. However, in an environment containing organic substances such as ammonia, brass is prone to stress corrosion cracking and surface corrosion.
