High-Efficiency Copper Tube Heat Exchangers

Copper Alloy Tubes For Heat Exchangers PDF

Compared to traditional heat exchangers, the new generation of high-efficiency copper tube heat exchangers has undergone numerous improvements. For example, they feature a larger copper tube contact surface; nano-treatment of the copper tube surface to increase heat transfer; and the use of a novel technology, the vortex principle. Furthermore, these high-efficiency copper tube heat exchangers offer high efficiency, achieving a 20% improvement over traditional heat exchangers; a compact size; a long lifespan; and an affordable price, reducing corporate procurement costs by approximately 20%. Previously, heat pump companies often used traditional shell-and-tube heat exchangers, which were bulky and inefficient. The new generation of high-efficiency copper tube heat exchangers completely addresses these issues, making them a popular choice for buyers.

Structural Features of the High-Efficiency Copper Tube Heat Exchanger

1. The high-efficiency copper tube heat exchanger features high-efficiency threaded copper tubes inside and steel tubes outside. Water flows inside the copper tubes, while Freon (refrigerant/refrigerant) flows between the copper and steel tubes, significantly improving thermal efficiency.
2. The heat exchanger's tube bundle is connected to a liquid distributor and a manifold at each end, effectively ensuring uniform refrigerant flow in and out, achieving rapid flow distribution and aggregation, and fully utilizing the heat transfer efficiency of each tube.
3. The tube bundle is bent into a stacked spiral shape, with steel tubes passing through the bundle. Extensive dissection revealed that the tube bundle lacks a staggered arrangement at the rotation point of the casing. Instead, it exhibits a twisted arrangement, with each tube clustering towards the center of the bundle or slightly angled. However, since the high-pressure refrigerant flow rate significantly impacts heat transfer, this variation can be ignored. Due to this structural characteristic, the cooling water, under the influence of centrifugal force, is affected by both the spiral shape of the main tube and the slightly twisted ribbon-like flow path of the tube bundle, resulting in a combination of heat transfer near the wall and a complex scouring boundary layer.

High-Efficiency Copper Tube Heat Exchanger Materials

1. The heat exchanger's tube bundle utilizes high-quality, low-ribbed, internally threaded copper tubes. Compared to plain tubes, this not only increases the heat transfer area, but the parallel, spiral distribution of fine internal ribs within the tubes also promotes turbulent flow of the refrigerant in its liquid state, achieving efficient heat transfer.
2. The heat exchanger's outer tubes utilize seamless steel pipes for conveying fluids. The finer pores on the inner tube surface ensure smoother cooling water flow. The galvanized inner tube surface enhances corrosion resistance and anti-fouling capabilities. The physical properties of the fluid steel pipes further ensure the product's ability to withstand frequent high-pressure shocks and explosion and vibration resistance.

Advantages of high-efficiency copper tube heat exchangers

Composed of concentric inner and outer tubes, the hot and cold fluids transfer heat simultaneously through the annular gaps between the inner and outer tubes. They are pressure-resistant and shock-resistant, resistant to deformation, dirt, and scale, and are non-clogging, offering smooth oil return, high safety, excellent processability, and low leakage resistance. They offer a flexible structure, easy layout, and a low price, saving costs. They are particularly suitable for heat pump systems. Furthermore, the gap between the outer and inner heat exchange tubes is evenly spaced, ensuring good oil return when used as an evaporator.
