The complete copper strip is pulled by a lifting rope and placed steadily on a dedicated cutting table. It is then cut by a cutting wheel saw to produce copper blocks with a length, height, and width of 100cm x 9.2cm x 18.5cm, each weighing approximately 130 kilograms. The uneven surface of the copper strip is then polished smooth by a copper strip washing machine, which is beneficial for the flatness and smoothness of the surface of the copper strip processed in the later stage. At present, due to the unsatisfactory surface of the produced copper bars, a thickness of 2mm is removed on both sides. If there are still protrusions on the cleaned copper bars, they can be polished off with a grinding wheel.
