C69800 is a high-performance silicon bronze alloy primarily composed of copper (Cu), silicon (Si), manganese (Mn), and trace amounts of other elements. Its typical chemical composition is: ≥94% copper, 1.5%-3.0% silicon, 0.5%-1.3% manganese, with trace amounts of iron and zinc. This alloy, strengthened by silicon, combines excellent mechanical properties with corrosion resistance while maintaining good machinability and weldability.

 

Physical and Mechanical Properties

C69800 copper exhibits high strength, hardness, and wear resistance, with a tensile strength exceeding 550 MPa and an elongation of approximately 20%, making it suitable for high-load environments. While its electrical and thermal conductivity is slightly lower than that of pure copper, it still meets general industrial requirements. Furthermore, this alloy exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in seawater, acidic, and alkaline environments, making it particularly susceptible to stress corrosion cracking in marine engineering applications.

 

Processing and Technology Advantages

C69800 copper rods and plates are easy to process, both hot and cold, and can be formed through stamping, forging, and cutting. They also exhibit excellent weldability and are suitable for various connection methods, including argon arc welding and brazing. The surface can be electroplated and polished to further enhance aesthetics and weather resistance.
