C12200 Copper Alloy is an alloy composed of pure copper with one or more other elements added to the base.
It is also known as Copper - Phosphorus and is commonly used as oxygen-free copper in the electrical industry.
Composition and content
C12200 oxygen-free copper contains more than 99.9% copper with a very small amount of phosphorus (0.015 - 0.040%).
Performance characteristics
High purity: usually up to 99.9% or more, it is oxygen-free copper, free of impurity oxygen.
Excellent electrical conductivity: has very high electrical conductivity, conductivity up to 85 - IACS.
It is an ideal conductive material, especially suitable for electrical and electronic applications.
Good moldability: good plasticity and workability, easy to cold work, hot work and welding and other treatments.
Good corrosion resistance: good corrosion resistance to general atmospheric and aqueous media, suitable for a variety of applications at room temperature.
Moderate strength: relatively low strength, but still sufficient to meet the needs of general conditions of use.
Good welding and cold bending properties: generally no tendency to hydrogenosis, can be processed and used in a reducing atmosphere, but should not be processed and used in an oxidizing atmosphere.
Good elasticity: good elasticity makes C12200 copper belt can be quickly restored to its original state after being subjected to external force, which is suitable for occasions requiring frequent bending or stretching.
