Electrolytic copper, with the standard grade C11000 (often called ETP copper), occupies an extremely important position among the cornerstone materials of the electrification and electronics industries. Its excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, good processing performance, and relatively economical cost make it one of the most widely used copper materials.
Material Properties
Excellent Electrical and Thermal Conductivity: With an electrical conductivity approaching 101% IACS, it is an excellent electrical and thermal conductor.
Good Ductility and Toughness: Especially in the soft state (O), it exhibits excellent plasticity and cold-working capabilities (such as deep drawing and bending).
Good Weldability: Suitable for various welding methods, particularly brazing and fusion welding.
Corrosion Resistance: It exhibits good corrosion resistance in normal atmospheric environments, but is prone to discoloration or corrosion in specific environments (such as those containing sulfur or ammonia).
Moderate Strength: Strength can be significantly improved through cold working (rolling, drawing).
Economy: More cost-effective than oxygen-free copper and high-conductivity alloys.
