Products Description
C10100 oxygen-free copper, also known as red copper/pure copper, is generally called red copper because of its rose-red color, which turns purple after an oxide film forms on its surface. Oxygen-free copper does not exhibit hydrogen embrittlement and possesses excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, machinability, weldability, corrosion resistance, and low-temperature performance. It also has excellent ductility, making it easy to hot-press and cold-press. It is widely used in the manufacture of wires, cables, brushes, and EDM-grade copper, among other products requiring good conductivity.

Applications of C10100 Oxygen-Free Copper
Oxygen-free copper is a very pure form of copper, generally considered to be approximately pure copper. Its electrical and thermal conductivity is second only to silver, and it is widely used in the manufacture of conductive and heat-conducting equipment. Copper exhibits good corrosion resistance in air, seawater, and certain non-oxidizing acids (hydrochloric acid, dilute sulfuric acid), alkalis, salt solutions, and many organic acids (acetic acid, citric acid), and is used in the chemical industry. In addition, copper has good weldability and can be processed into various semi-finished and finished products through cold and hot plastic processing. Copper is also used in the manufacture of motor short-circuit rings, electromagnetic heating inductors, and high-power electronic components, as well as in terminal blocks and other similar products. It is also used in some furniture and decorations such as doors, windows, and handrails.
FAQ
Q: Is C10100 suitable for plating?
A: Yes, its pure, non-porous surface makes it an excellent substrate for plating with silver, nickel, tin, or gold.
Q: What is the melting point of C10100?
A: The melting point is approximately 1083°C (1981°F).
Q: Does C10100 work harden?
A: Yes, like all pure coppers, C10100 work hardens when cold-worked (e.g., bending, drawing). It can be softened by an annealing process.
Q: What is the typical density of C10100?
A: The density is approximately 8.94 g/cm³ at 20°C.
