70/30 Copper-Nickel Pipe
Copper-nickel alloys have very good resistance to biofouling and marine corrosion, and possess good fabricability. Copper gains more strength and corrosion resistance when nickel is added to it.
UNS C71500 copper-nickel (cupronickel) alloy has medium high strength and good creep resistance at high temperatures. This alloy is expensive in comparison with copper-aluminum alloys and other alloys with similar mechanical properties.
C71500 copper-nickel is an alloy of copper, further classified as a copper-nickel (cupronickel). CW354H is the EN numeric designation for this material. C71500 is the UNS number. Additionally, the EN chemical designation is CuNi30Mn1Fe. The British Standard (BS) designation is CN107. And the industry name is Cupronickel 70/30.
