C44300 Tin Brass contains 71% copper, 28% zinc, and 1% tin, along with trace amounts of arsenic and antimony to prevent dezincification. It offers excellent resistance to dezincification and seawater corrosion. It boasts a tensile strength of approximately 340 MPa, an elongation of approximately 40%, and excellent cold formability. It can be used in marine heat exchangers, condenser tubes, freshwater pipes, and automotive radiators.
Brass pipe (C44300) offers effective corrosion resistance, making it an ideal choice for steam condensers cooled with fresh, salt, or brackish water. These pipes are also widely used in heat exchangers within refineries, where they withstand severe corrosion from sulfur compounds and contaminated water.
In power plants, C44300 brass pipe is also used in feedwater heaters to preheat water before entering the boiler.
