C44300 is based on copper (Cu) (70.0%-73.0%), with zinc (Zn) as the main alloying element (residual) and the addition of 0.9%-1.2% tin (Sn) and 0.02%-0.10% arsenic (As). The addition of tin significantly improves the corrosion resistance of the alloy, especially in the inhibition of dezincification corrosion is outstanding; trace amounts of arsenic to further strengthen the stability of the grain boundary, delaying the corrosion process. In addition, lead (Pb), iron (Fe) and other impurities are strictly limited (usually Pb ≤ 0.07%) to ensure material purity.
