Welding

Tin, brazing, oxyacetylene, shielded arc, spot and butt welding are considered suitable welding processes, while processes such as coated metal arc welding and seam welding are not recommended for UNS C44300 brass.

Thermal Processing

UNS C44300 is rated fair for hot forming capability, with a recommended hot working temperature range of 649 to 788°C (1200 to 1450°F).

Cold Working

UNS C44300 brass alloy has excellent cold working properties.

Annealing

Annealing temperatures for UNS C44300 brass alloy range from 427 to 593°C (800 to 1100°F).
