What is TP1/C12000 copper?
TP1/C12000 phosphorus-deoxidized copper is a copper alloy deoxidized by adding trace amounts of phosphorus (0.004%–0.012%). Its unique composition design significantly improves welding and processing performance while retaining high electrical and thermal conductivity, making it a key material in industrial applications.
Composition and Physical Properties
C12000 is based on high purity, with a copper-silver (Cu+Ag) content ≥99.90% and phosphorus (P) strictly controlled between 0.004%–0.012%. The addition of trace amounts of phosphorus effectively eliminates the adverse effects of oxygen (oxygen content ≤0.015%), avoiding "hydrogen embrittlement" (hydrogen embrittlement in high-temperature reducing atmospheres), while also refining the grain size and improving mechanical properties. Its density is 8.96 g/cm³, melting point is 1080℃–1085℃, electrical conductivity reaches 98% IACS (International Standard for Annealed Copper), thermal conductivity is 380 W/(m·K), and coefficient of thermal expansion is 17.3 × 10⁻⁶/℃. Its overall performance is superior to ordinary pure copper.
