What is a C71500 copper nickel tube?
C71500 copper-nickel alloy (or copper-nickel alloy) is a copper alloy containing nickel and strengthening elements such as iron and manganese. Due to its adjusted electrode potential, it is neutral with seawater, giving it excellent corrosion resistance in seawater. Therefore, it is widely used in piping, heat exchangers, and condensers in seawater systems, as well as marine hardware, and sometimes in propellers, crankshafts, and hulls of high-end tugboats, fishing boats, and other work vessels.
Copper-nickel alloy (70-30%) 715 is one of the most corrosion-resistant and durable copper-based alloys for seawater condenser and heat exchanger tubes. In high-pressure, high-temperature steam stations, regardless of the type of tubing used in the main condenser, the feedwater heaters use copper-nickel alloy (70-30%) tubing.
