What is a C71500 copper nickel tube?
Copper Nickel alloy Tube has extremely well resistance to biofouling and marine corrosion, and possess good fabricability. Copper gains more strength and corrosion resistance when nickel is added to it. UNS C71500 copper nickel alloy has medium high strength and good creep resistance at high temperatures. This alloy is expensive in comparison with copper-aluminum alloys and other alloys with similar mechanical properties. C71500 copper-nickel is an alloy of copper, further classified as a copper-nickel . CW354H is the EN numeric designation for this material. C71500 is the UNS number. Additionally, the EN chemical designation is CuNi30Mn1Fe. The British Standard (BS) designation is CN107. And the industry name is Cupronickel 70/30.

Standard Specification for Seamless Copper-Nickel Pipe and Tube
This specification covers the requirements for seamless UNS C70400, C70600, C71000, C71500, C71520, and C72200 copper-nickel Pipes and Tubes in straight lengths suitable for engineering applications. UNS C70620 and C71520 copper alloys are intended for products that are to be welded subsequently. Each product should be manufactured from cast billets by hot extrusion or piercing and then subjected to cold working and annealing. The standard tempers for the products in this specification are soft annealed (O60), light drawn (H55), hard drawn (H80), and hard drawn and end annealed (HE80). Pipe and tube tensile properties, Rockwell hardness, and test performance should conform to the values specified herein. Performance requirements include those from expansion, flattening, and eddy Current tests.
1.1 This specification establishes the requirements for seamless copper-nickel pipe and tube in straight lengths, suitable for general engineering purposes. The alloys involved are copper alloys UNS Nos. C70400, C70600, C70620, C71000, C71500, C71520, and C72200.
1.1.1 Copper alloys UNS Nos. C70620 and C71520 are intended for product that will be subsequently welded.
