Aluminum brass is one of the most widely used materials in various industrial applications. It has a yield strength of 186 MPa (27 ksi), a tensile strength of 414 MPa (60 ksi), and an elongation of 55%. Aluminum brass tubing is highly resistant to the effects of saltwater and high-velocity salts. This aluminum brass tubing is available in rod form. One of the most significant features of this material is its extremely high impact resistance. Aluminum brass condenser tubes are used in condensers and heat exchangers. Aluminum brass tubing c68700 has a very typical chemical composition: Al: 1.8-2.5%, Pb: up to 0.05%, Cu: 76-79%, Fe: 0.05%, As: 0.02-0.06%, and Zn: approximately 10%. Aluminum brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, with a small amount of arsenic added to prevent dezincification.
Corrosion-inhibited aluminum brass is widely used in condenser tubes. These aluminum brass tubes form a protective film around them that has self-healing properties. This type of aluminum brass tubing can be used in evaporators, desalination plants, ship repair and construction, condensers, heat exchangers and radiators, distillers, refineries, casing, offshore oil rigs, power plants, and more. It's ideal for applications where naval brass doesn't offer impact protection and for high cooling water velocities, such as in onshore and offshore power plants.
C68700 corrosion-resistant aluminum brass tubing resists high-velocity salt and blackwater corrosion and is commonly used in condenser tubing. Its primary characteristic is its high resistance to impact corrosion. ASTM B111 C68700 aluminum brass tubing is recommended for offshore and onshore power plants with high cooling water velocities.
