Q: What is the difference between H70 and C26000?
A: They are equivalent grades. H70 is the Chinese standard (GB), and C26000 is the US standard (ASTM). Both refer to 70/30 Cartridge Brass.
Q: Does H70 brass crack easily?
A: H70 is very ductile, but like all high-zinc brasses, it can be susceptible to "Season Cracking" (Stress Corrosion Cracking) if exposed to ammonia while under stress. We recommend a stress-relief annealing process after forming your parts.
Q: Can you provide "Deep Drawing Quality" (DDQ) material?
A: Yes. For DDQ orders, we strictly control the grain size and elongation properties to ensure the material can withstand severe deformation ratios.
