Copper Nickel Silicon Chromium is a very hard, heat treatable copper with medium electrical conductivity. C18000 is used when very good mechanical strength is required along with medium electrical and thermal conductivity. It offers an excellent performance value and is a high value alternative to C17500 and C17510 in many applications as it meets RWMS Class 3 specifications.

This material is a precipitation hardened, multi-purpose alloy with high strength properties and excellent wear resistance. The excellent strength properties are derived from finely dispersed Ni2Si precipitates formed through a carefully controlled manufacturing process. It has excellent strength, excellent wear and corrosion resistance, and very good electrical and thermal properties.
