C61400 is a wrought aluminum bronze alloy. C614 has excellent ductility. It is often used for wear plate where the dimensions exceed the limits of rectangular aluminum bronze bar. C61400 is also recommended for corrosive applications. C61400 plate resists grain boundary stress cracking. This is accomplished by adding a small amount of tin to the composition. C614 plate is used in fabrications that are too large to be stress relieved or must be field built and welded. In these applications, C61400 plate is not in danger of stress corrosion cracking.
