Electrolytic c11000 tough pitch etp copper is a violet copper material, corresponding to the grade T2. named for its conspicuous purplish-red color, this material is primarily composed of copper with a small amount of oxygen, and is sometimes referred to as oxygenated copper. Physically, electrolytic c11000 tough pitch etp copper exhibits a tensile strength of at least 275 MPa and an elongation of at least 5% (within 10 mm before break), and at least 10% elongation (within 5 mm before break). It should be noted that C11000 is susceptible to hydrogen embrittlement in reducing media containing hydrogen, the so-called "hydrogen disease", and therefore should not be processed or used at temperatures above 370 degrees Celsius or in reducing media. Its strength increases at temperatures below -250 degrees Celsius.
