The alloy has excellent corrosion, erosion, and biofouling resistance in seawater and other environments. It is also highly resistant to stress corrosion cracking and pitting.

The alloy's hardness ranges from 70 HRB to 90 HRB.UNS C70600 has a density of 0.323 lb/in³ and a melting point of 2260°F. It has a thermal conductivity of 29.6 Btu/(hr)(ft²)(°F) and a coefficient of thermal expansion of 9.04 µin/in-°F. The electrical conductivity of the alloy is 3% IACS (International Annealed Copper Standard).
