C10200 Oxygen Free (OF) copper tubing is produced by direct conversion of selected refined cathodes and castings under carefully controlled conditions to prevent contamination of the pure oxygen free metal during processing. The oxygen-free copper production method ensures an ultra-high grade metal with a copper content of up to 99.99%. With such low levels of foreign elements, the inherent properties of elemental copper are fully utilized.
Although OF is considered oxygen-free copper, its electrical conductivity is no higher than the more common ETP or C11000 grade copper. It has an oxygen content of 0.001%, a purity of 99.95%, and a minimum IACS conductivity of 100%. The silver (Ag) content is counted as copper (Cu) for purposes of purity percentages.
