C1100 (more accurately C11000 under the UNS system) is an Electrolytic Tough Pitch (ETP) grade of copper. It is an unalloyed copper, meaning it is commercially pure (minimum 99.90% Cu) with a naturally occurring, highly controlled amount of oxygen.
What is the copper equivalent of C11000?
Because it is the global standard for electrical copper, it has several direct equivalents. In China (GB standard), it is known as T2 copper. In Europe (EN standard), it is designated as Cu-ETP or CW004A. All these grades share the same ≥99.90% purity and >100% IACS conductivity.
What is the difference between copper 110 and C11000?
There is absolutely no technical difference. "110 copper" is simply the informal, shorthand name used by machinists and engineers, while "C11000" is the official alphanumeric designation under the Unified Numbering System (UNS) and ASTM standards.
What is the difference between C11000 and C10100?
The core difference is oxygen content. C11000 (ETP) contains trace amounts of oxygen (0.02% - 0.04%). C10100 (OFHC - Oxygen-Free High Conductivity) has had the oxygen removed in a vacuum environment. Is C110 pure copper?
Yes, in the industrial manufacturing context, C110 (C11000) is considered commercially pure copper. It guarantees a minimum of 99.90% copper content. However, it is not "100% absolute purity" because the tiny fraction of oxygen is intentionally left in to improve its metallurgical structure during casting.
