C10100 Oxygen-Free Electronic Copper (OFE) is a 99.99 percent pure copper with only 0.0005% oxygen concentration. C10100 OFHC Copper Pipes are made by directly converting selected refined cathodes and castings under carefully regulated circumstances to ensure that the pure oxygen-free metal is not contaminated during manufacturing. OFHC copper is produced in such a way that it is of very high quality, with a copper concentration of 99.99 percent. The intrinsic qualities of elemental copper are brought forward to a great degree with such a low amount of extraneous elements.

What Is Oxygen-Free Copper?
Oxygen-free copper (OFC) is copper that has gone through an electrolytic refinement process to remove all but a trace level of oxygen. It's the purest commercial copper grade available, containing 99.99% copper with a minimal amount of impurities, and is highly recommended for applications requiring superior conductivity and connectivity, such as superconducting wires, PCBs, X-ray tubes, vacuum interrupters, rotor bars, and motor coils.

Oxygen-free copper is available in the following three grades:
C10100 (OFE): 99.99% pure copper with 0.0005% oxygen content
C10200 (OF): 99.95% pure copper with 0.001% oxygen content
C11000 (ETP): 99.9% pure copper with 0.02% to 0.04% oxygen content
Comparison with Other Copper Tubes
C10200 (Oxygen-Free Copper): Slightly lower copper content (99.95%), performance is very close to C10100, a common and economical alternative.
C11000 (Electrolytic Tough Pitch Copper): Contains 0.02% to 0.05% oxygen. Excellent conductivity (~100% IACS) but susceptible to hydrogen embrittlement in high-temperature reducing atmospheres.
