In Europe, this alloy is known as CuBe2. It contains 1.8 – 2% beryllium and is the hardest and strongest copper beryllium material in wide use. Applications include injection mold cores and cavities, oil and gas drilling tool components, aerospace bushings, and heavy equipment wear plates and bushings. The terms "beryllium copper" and "copper beryllium" and even beryllium bronze are used interchangeably. In addition, CuBe and BeCu are abbreviations that are often used. C17200 (Alloy 25) is a high-performance alloy, so it is important to trust your supplier. Our foundry has been casting copper beryllium for over 20 years. Customers are not limited to standard mill sizes for large plates - we can forge plates to the size that best suits the customer's needs. Round bars are available in diameters of 1 inch and larger, and rings up to 72 inches OD can be supplied per customer drawings.
