UNS C10700 (EN CW019A) is a type of lightly alloyed grade of copper, has good corrosion resistance and high thermal, and a high conductivity copper in the annealed condition a minimum conductivity of 100% IACS (The higher the % IACS, the more conductive the material is). Good to excellent corrosion resistance. Excellent hot and cold workability; good forgeability. Fabricated by coining, coppersmithing, drawing and upsetting, hot forging and pressing, spinning, swaging, stamping.

Welding

Brazing, soldering, gas shielded arc welding, oxyacetylene welding and butt welding are the recommended methods for welding UNS C10700 copper. Spot, coated metal arc and seam welding methods are not recommended for welding UNS C10700 copper.

 

Forging

UNS C10700 copper can be forged at temperatures from 760 to 871°C (1400 to 1600°F). The alloy is rated at 65% hot forgeability.

 

Hot Workability

UNS C10700 copper has excellent hot workability.

 

Cold Working

UNS C10700 copper has excellent cold workability.

 

Annealing

UNS C10700 copper can be annealed at temperatures from 482 to 760°C (900 to 1400°F).
