C18000 is a copper-chromium-nickel-silicon alloy. This alloy meets the mechanical requirements of RWMA Grade III beryllium copper without the use of beryllium. C180 copper has very good mechanical strength and moderate electrical and thermal conductivity. C18000 copper-chromium-nickel-silicon alloy is commonly used for resistance welding tips, resistance welding wheels and fixtures, stud welding chucks and heads, inserts in plastic injection molds, blow mold pinch-offs, blow mold cavities, hot runner systems for injection molds, cores and ejector pins for injection molds, plunger tips for metal die casting machines and foundry molds.
